Project Description:

 

LafargeHolcim is a global manufacturer of cement, concrete, and other construction materials and integrated solutions for construction in more than 80 countries. The company is in the process of green transition. Today, it is actively taking sustainable measures in its production.

 

Our Role:

 

HPBS experts advised LafargeHolcim in the field of LEED, LCA and other environmental solutions. The following activities were carried out:

 

• Life Cycle Assessment of cement, concrete.
• Development of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the products.
• Environmental consulting for the company – consulting in the ESG and sustainable development area, related to the certification of construction objects.
• Staff training – seminars and training sessions for skill enhancement in various fields of knowledge related to trends in the “green economy,” current tendencies in sustainable development, green building, and contributing to the company’s sustainable development.
• LEED certification of a dry construction mix plant. Turnkey certification of the plant: supporting at the concept, design, construction stages, and conducting energy modeling.
• Life Cycle Assessment of a house (typical and eco-friendly) LCA.

 

Key Achievements:

 

HPBS comprehensive work aimed to align the company’s activities with environmental standards, improved the sustainability profile of its products, enhanced staff knowledge and skills in the field of sustainable development and green building practices, and support the LEED certification of a dry construction mix plant. This helped the company reduce its environmental impact and contribute to sustainable development.
